Wow. Whoever narrated this must have flunked physics. Compressing the air will take energy. That energy has to come from somewhere. electric energy will come from coal, nuclear, oil, or natural gas. You are not eliminating pollution, just pushing it further upstream. In fact, due to the law of entropy, it is quite possible that this vehicle will actually use MORE fuel than a similarly powered internal combustion motor vehicle.
As for a perpetual motion machine… don’t hold your breath. The narrator may have flunked physics, but it STILL is the law of the universe.
“Perpetual Motion”? Sure – and, some day, I expect mankind shall be able to function unaided in the vacuum of space.
Face it – there is going to be an energy deficit in the process of compressed air running a generator to compress air. I doubt not that, finely tuned and carefully balanced, this should greatly extend the distance between required recharges, but it should not be hailed as that Holy Grail of the Energy people.
I like the idea of the exhaust being icy-cold air; could help combat this global warming thingee everyone seems to be babbling about…
